Series of postcards made for fun!
When was the last time you wrote a letter? 5 ? 10 yearsā€¦?
Well, I used to send a lot of mails when I was young and Iā€™m a bit nostalgic of this time. Arenā€™t you? Taking time to choose a nice pen, a nice writing paper, time to sit down on a Sunday afternoon and gather your thoughts about what youā€™re going to tell, time to get a stamp to put on your hand-made envelope and then go to the post-office for it to be delivered 3 days later.
We used to have time to think and do these things. But nowadays, instant communication barely gives us time to react. Just one clic or tap can open up a world that seems familiar and yet very strange to you. You may receive information from people you don't even know. However, letters can give you a chance to slow down the pace and focus on a crafted objetc.
It seems we have lost this ritual in our daily lives... But paradoxically, that's what makes it more precious.

That's why I wanted to create something fun and different - mostly for me but maybe for you too! :)

Understanding a letter is not the same as reading an e-mail. Texting, tweeting and e-mailing is all about speed and efficiency. Most of the time, you might even be doing multiple things while readding or sending them.Ā  Texts or e-mails are rarely lost because you can easily find them on your phones, computers or cloud servers. But a letter is ephemeral. If you lose it, you may lost it forever. And this is what makes a letter or postcard so precious.
That's what I'm trying to do in my work: create something that you'll keep as a collectible or souvenir and not chucked into the garbage.

Hope you'll like them as much I enjoyed creating them! :)
